Kashmir Houseboats
The Kashmir Houseboats are run in economy and luxurious grades, fairly all suitable rates. Each houseboat is having the capacity of two to five bedrooms, adjoining bathrooms, a drawing room, a pantry, the upper deck, with a separate kitchen boat, partly occupied by the staff (family). Grade one houseboats favourably compete with any of the fine hotels on land so far as furniture, fixtures and requirements are concerned. Houseboats are managed by joint family members who have wide experience in catering menus of both Eastern and Western styles. Famed owners also arrange for trekking, site-seeing and mountaineering and other activities of the visitors in the summer. But these subsidiary vocations of the boatsmen have been snatched by the upstart business men.
